Kasatkina captures first WTA title at Charleston
MIAMI: Russian teenager Daria Kasatkina won her first WTA title on Sunday with a straight-sets victory over Latvia´s Jelena Ostapenko.
The 42nd-ranked Kasatkina, playing in her first career final, dominated fellow 19-year-old Ostapenko 6-3, 6-1.
Ostapenko, ranked 66th in the world, is now 0-3 in title matches, having also lost in the finals at Quebec in 2015 and at Doha last year.
